Despite that often quoted phrase, 'golf is a good walk spoilt', there are over 5 million people in the UK who take part at traditional courses, whether they be members of clubs or attend pay and play facilities, twice as many take part in alternative forms of the game.
Members of H&W u3a are now able to add to that number, all rounds arranged are open to those who are members of clubs as well as anyone who enjoys a social event. As each session has to be arranged after checking on the availability of individual locally based courses, a defined day and time cannot be specified.
However it is anticipated that there will be at least once round every month, this can be suggested by any member who with the help of the Group Leader can organise the event.
